Originally hand drawn and designed by our founder in a hospital in 2021. This artwork, along with her supportive buddy at the time, was used to support her child's medical journey.

What is the purpose of the supportive buddy?
Supportive little buddies were initially created for our child so she could use them during medical interventions.
They serve as reminders of essential strategies that can be employed to ease experiences for everyone, truly helping the nervous system.
Today, they’re utilized beyond hospitals, finding their place in therapy offices, clinics, classrooms, and homes, aiding in the development of foundational skills that everyone can benefit from.
How can they help with coping mechanisms?
Coping Tools, Skills and Characteristics:
Each supportive little buddy has different coping tools, skills and characteristics all taken from the foundational knowledge from neuroscience and psychology building on emotional intelligence.
Visual Aid:
Initially when working with them, they themselves are a visual aid. This is powerful for not only children but adults as well.
Weighted Component:
When you use a weighted buddy, you tap into science naturally. How does it work? Weighted buddies apply gentle pressure to calm your nervous system. They help your body switch from the "fight or flight" mode ('sympathetic nervous system') to the "rest and digest" state ('parasympathetic nervous system'). This happens by boosting calming activities and reducing stress activities, lowering stress hormones like cortisol, and increasing calming chemicals like serotonin and dopamine. The result is a feeling of calm, with a slower heart rate, relaxed muscles, and a better mood.
