The story behind a company is interesting for most, and ours is one that many can resonate with.

Our journey began with a traumatic experience: a medical emergency that transformed us into a medical family in 2021 during the height of covid. We learned what it meant to live in a constant state of anxiety, uncertain of an outcome that could potentially mean losing our child.

Every day, our founder, shaped by her own childhood trauma, practiced the skills she had acquired throughout her life with her daughter and a teddy bear they used as a companion during their hospital visits. After spending countless hours in the hospital, it became clear to her that these valuable skills were not widely known. Plus, not all teddys work well in hospital and they too could be improved.

To address this gap, she created the Supportive Little Buddy, which incorporates all the techniques she had been teaching her child in the hospital through a single teddy bear. While they were initially designed for hospital use, today, these weighted stuffed animals are also embraced in classrooms, clinics, and homes and not just for her child but for everyone inclusive of various medical conditions.
