We currently have and use two of the weighted stuffies from Lakunakai in our chiropractic office (the sea turtle and the moon jelly), and they have been such a great addition to our space for our littlest practice members. These little buddies are beautifully made, incredibly soft, and perfectly weighted — they feel like a gentle hug. For our sensory and littlest practice members, they’ve become an essential calming tool (one even glows in the dark!). We use them during our nervous system scans and testing to help kids feel safe, grounded, and relaxed. They also work wonderfully during other visits when a child needs a little extra support with emotional regulation. They’re easy to clean, and they’ve added a thoughtful layer of customer care to our space. We’re grateful to have found tools — right here in Alberta! — that align with our practices values and focus on nervous system regulation, and that genuinely help children feel at ease.
