Nobody taught us
how to actually journal.
Until now.

Most journals hand you a blank page and leave you to figure out the rest. This one doesn't. The Think It Out Journal was designed by our founder — developed over years in practice — to give you a method therapists have worked with for years. Write it. Work through it. Tear it out. What stays is clarity. What goes is everything you were never meant to keep.

You made the right call.

The guide at the back for exploring persistent negative thoughts is so good for getting out from under their power. It helped me reframe my thinking.

On the Brain Dump section

A few things people ask

You are in good hands.
Here is what you need to know.

The first section is a lined journal with dates and months on the side to circle — use it however you need. As a daily journal. As a record of signs, symptoms, and experiences over time. As a shared space for caregivers to stay aligned. The second section is the Brain Dump — a guided process that walks you through a feeling or emotion, helps you understand what you want to keep at your centre, and gives you a way to release what you don't. Every page is perforated. Once you're done with it, you can tear it out and destroy it.

Both. A child can use it to process a medical experience or a hard emotion. A parent can use it to track what is happening, record observations, and work through their own feelings about what their child is going through. A caregiver can use it to stay aligned with everyone else supporting the child. There is no wrong way to use it — and no age requirement on needing somewhere to put your thoughts.

They are designed to work together. The buddy handles what happens in the moment — the regulation, the grounding, the steady thing to hold when the body takes over. The journal handles what comes after — the processing, the understanding, the closing of the loop. One takes care of the feeling. The other helps make sense of it. Together, they cover the full arc of a hard experience.

Supportive Little Buddy

The buddy works when the moment is happening and words are not available yet. Gentle weight, a built-in coping skill, something steady to hold. When the moment passes, the journal is there to make sense of what just happened.

You didn't just buy a journal.
You gave yourself a way through it.

Write it. Work through it. Tear out what you're done carrying. The rest — the clarity, the steadiness, the sense of knowing yourself a little better — builds from there.
