Our Story
This didn’t start as a business.
It started in a hospital.
In 2021, our family went through a medical emergency with our child. Overnight, everything changed. We became a medical family — living in uncertainty, waiting for answers, trying to stay steady in moments that didn’t feel steady at all.
If you’ve been there, you know the feeling.
When everything is happening around you…
and you’re just trying to get through the moment in front of you.
What we learned in those moments
Stress doesn’t wait for the “right time.”
It shows up in the body first.
In the way you breathe.
In the way you hold tension.
In the need to reach for something — anything — that helps you feel grounded.
So we used what we had.
A teddy bear.
Simple techniques.
Repetition.
Breathing.
Staying present.
Getting through one moment at a time.
Not perfectly.
Just enough.
What was missing
We started to notice something.
Other families were going through the same thing — but they didn’t always have the tools or the language for it.
And even the things meant to help didn’t quite fit.
They weren’t designed for real environments like hospitals, clinics, or classrooms.
They weren’t designed for real moments of stress.
And most people were never taught how to regulate what they feel.
So we created what we needed
Not a toy.
Not a distraction.
Something that actually helps in the moment.
The Supportive Little Buddy was designed to:
- give someone something steady to hold onto
- support simple, repeatable coping skills
- help the body slow down when everything feels overwhelming
Something that works in real life — not just in theory.
Why this matters beyond one moment
What started in a hospital didn’t stay there.
We began seeing the same need everywhere:
- in classrooms
- in therapy sessions
- in everyday life
Because this isn’t just about medical moments.
It’s about being human.
Everyone experiences moments where things feel like too much.
What we believe
Most people were never taught how to handle what they feel.
So when stress shows up, they’re expected to just manage it.
But that’s not how it works.
People need tools.
Simple ones.
Accessible ones.
Ones they can actually use in real moments.
You don’t know you need a buddy until you do.
